Launch of the 2 nd Kuwait Aviation Exhibition, Under the Auspices of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may God protect him On 15 January, 2020

Director-General of Civil Aviation Eng. Yousef Al-Fouzan said that the 2 nd Kuwait Aviation Exhibition, to be launched on the coming 15 th January, is considered a major tributary for air-transport sector in the region, and also an opportunity to revive the national economy. In a press conference, Eng. Al-Fouzan explained that the Exhibition events will include air-shows for different Arab and foreign teams over four days in the skies of Kuwait, and will include various activities for the fans of aviation. He added that invitations will be forwarded to the heads of civil aviation authorities in Gulf and Arab countries, and to representatives of agencies specialized in aviation industry, together with participation of many international and Arab airline companies, air-forces, leading companies specialized in aviation sector, aircraft manufacturers and service providers. He made mention that the first exhibition, which was held last year, has resonated well with respect to organization and participation that materialized due the cooperation and joint efforts of all concerned bodies, whether governmental authorities, organizing committee or various volunteering teams. For his part, the Head of Organizing Committee of the Exhibition – Mr./ Ahmad Behbehani, said that the Kuwait Aviation Exhibition 2020 represents an important addition that would place Kuwait on the global map, and contributes towards enhancing its regional and international standing. In a similar press statement, Mr. Behbehani affirmed that the exhibition will contribute directly towards actuating the services, communication, transport and tourism sectors, and enhancing the country's economic and investment status, in addition to contributing towards observing the latest developments in the aviation industry, especially air-transport and ground services. For his part, the Civil Aviation official spokesman Eng. Saad Al- Otaibi said that the success of any exhibition relies on the number of commercial transactions concluded within it. Eng. Al-Otaibi pointed to the formation of a committee headed by the H.E. President of Directorate General of Civil Aviation Sheikh Salman Al-Homoud Al-Sabah, and the membership of several concerned bodies, to present the exhibition in a manner worthy of the reputation of Kuwait. He added that the first copy of the exhibition, which was launched last year under a Royal Amiri patronage, witnessed participation of nearly 125 local and international companies specialized in civil and military aviation sectors, and presented more than 60 aircraft ranging from civil, military and private types.
