3% Increase in Passengers Traffic at Kuwait International Airport Last October

Directorate General of Civil Aviation said that passengers traffic at Kuwait International Airport witnessed 3% increase last October with total number of 1,091,181 passengers as compared to 1,059,502 passengers during the same period in year 2017. In a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) today Sunday, the Deputy Director-General for Aviation Safety & Air-Transport Affairs, and Safety Systems Coordination Center – Mr. Emad Al-Jalawi said that arriving-passengers traffic reached 569,945 passengers last October as compared to 559,969 passengers during the same period in year 2017. Mr. Al-Jalawi explained that the departing-passengers traffic was 521,236 passengers last October as compared to 499,533 passengers during the same month last year. He stated that total number of flights traffic operated from and to Kuwait International Airport during last October reached 9,707 flights as compared to 9,356 flights during the same period in year 2017, pointing out that the number of incoming and outgoing commercial flights during last October amounted to nearly 9,031 voyages as compared to 8,919 voyages in October 2017. He indicated that the cargo traffic at Kuwait International Airport reached nearly 20.01 Million kilograms as compared to the same period last year where the total cargo traffic amounted to 22.27 Million kilograms. Mr. Al-Jalawi pointed out that the inbound cargo-traffic last October amounted to nearly 16.28 Million kilograms as compared to 16.76 Million kilograms during the same period in year 2017, while the outbound cargo-traffic amounted to 3.7 Million kilograms last October as compared to 5.5 Million kilograms in October 2017.
