Conclusion of Works of the 40th General Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization

The Executive Council for of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has elected its new members after the conclusion of the general assembly 40th meeting in Montreal, Canada. The new board members are Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, UK, US, Russia, Argentina, Colombia, Egypt, Finland, India, Mexico, Holland, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Costa Rica, Cote d'Ivoire, Dominican Republic, Equatorial Guinea, Greece, Malaysia, Paraguay, Peru, the Republic of Korea, Sudan, Tunisia, United Arab of Emirates, and Zambia. In an exclusive statement to KUNA, President of Kuwait Directorate General for Civil Aviation Sheikh Salman Al-Sabah said he was elected as First Vice-President of the General Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), expressed his best wishes to all board members who won ICAO membership for the period 2019-22. Sheikh Salman added the Arab group succeeded through coordination and cooperation with active regional organizations to win five of ICAO's 36-seat executive council. Sheikh Salman stressed importance on exerting efforts among member countries to enhance civil aviation and all of its sectors around the world. During its recent general assembly meetings, members tackled the world program for monitoring for aviation security based on constant surveillance and information to implement the program.
